My major research areas are East Asian politics and global governance of the Internet.   My research has appeared or is forthcoming in journals such as International Studies Quarterly, Journal of Information Technology & Politics, Asia & the Pacific Policy Studies, Japanese Journal of Political Science, and US-Japan Women's Journal.  I have  spoken at universities in Japan, Germany, and the US, as well as at the Brookings Institution in Washington DC, and on NPR public radio affiliates.

Liv Coleman is Associate Professor of Political Science & International Studies at the University of Tampa.  She received her Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.  She has been an Advanced Research Fellow at the Harvard Program on US-Japan Relations, and a Foreign Research Scholar at the University of Tokyo's Institute of Social Science.  She is a member of the Mike and Maureen Mansfield Foundation US-Japan Network for the Future, Cohort III (2014-2016).  Please feel free to email me with any questions.
